Friends of the Remington Carpenter Township Public Library

The Friends of the Remington Carpenter Township Public Library, Inc. is a group of concerned citizens who share the belief that a strong public library is a valuable intellectual and recreational resource in the community.  Our library is tax-supported, but there are items and programs that are not included in the library's budget.  The Friends of RCTPL, Inc. provide financial assistance for these needs.

Look what the Friends have been able to do recently, thanks to great community support:

  • Donate money for the library to put towards requested books as well as books needed to complete a series
  • Donate summer reading prizes
  • Sponsor a Hoosier Pioneer and an Ice Cream Social to kick off the summer reading program
  • Sponsor an Old Tyme Photo Booth at the Remington Sesquicentennial.  We raised over $500.

The first $350 was doubled by a Libri Foundation grant.

  • Save money towards upcoming larger needs the library may have
  • Books for Babies program where parents receive a book packet for their new child
  • Helped purchase an online catalog system and new computers for the library

Are you a "Friend" of the library?  Please contact the library at 261-2543 for more information, or visit us on the web at: www.rctpl.com/friends/friends.htm

Meetings are held the 4th Monday of the month at 7pm at the library.
