There are still a few cookbooks available for $15, and just a few hats and baskets. The larger basket complete with plastic liner, brass tag, and engraved water tower lid is sold for $50, and the smaller basket has the brass tag, cloth liner and iron handle is $36. Sesquicentennial souvenir books were on a pre-order basis, and the order will be going in by the end of July. Once the books arrive, those will be distributed, and additional books may be purchased at full price-approximately $40. Thanks to a grant by the Jasper Foundation, books ordered during the sesquicentennial were available for pre-order only for $20.
To date many area businesses and individuals have donated to the Sesquicentennial fund. They are: Animal Care Center, D& K Electric, Dr. Castor, Fox Insurance Agency, IMI, Inc., John T. Casey-Attorney at Law, Regions Bank, Remington IGA, Remington Package Store, Remington-Goodland-Wolcott Mini Storage, Ulyat Trucking, and Don & Denise Pampel.
